Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with the crew at the Clouse House.  There was delicious food, as always, lots of presents, and tons of fun!

Since it was Brooklynn's first Christmas, she wasn't quite sure what to think.
Bailey on the other hand is a seasoned pro now with Christmas.  She could hardly contain her excitement for each present.  She even knows to smile while she opens her presents to not waste time looking up at the camera.
Games and crafts = two of Bailey's favorite things.
Emma was excited too, but once she opened her markers she was done with the rest of her presents.
Brooklynn knew as soon as she opened this present that it was a tasty treat.  In this picture though, she's using it as a bongo drum.
She didn't quite know what to think about this baby...
but she was super excited about reading her birth certificate...
and even more excited to eat this present!
 My girls
A Merry Christmas baby!  The entire San Diego county was sold out of all Christmas jammies in the 9 month size, so I had to go with the 6 month size.  I think these are pretty cute, especially the reindeer on the butt, but  they might look a little boyish.
Bailey's turn with the Santa hat.

Once we got home for the night, Bailey was dead asleep.  As soon as I woke her up, she wanted to get out the cookies, milk, and carrots for Santa and his reindeer.  This was a much scaled down list of items to leave out; we started with cookies, milk, carrots, fruit snacks, granola bars, and juice boxes, just what every reindeer loves.
She was too tired to hold the plate, so I put the plate on top of her.  She thought that was pretty funny.
To make it more exciting, we put Brooklynn on her back too.  Brooklynn had no interest in smiling for the picture because she was focused on getting one of those cookies.
Once she got a hold of a cookie, she wasn't too thrilled with the taste.

It was then off to bed for my two Christmas beauties.  Bailey went to bed very quickly; she was extremely excited for the next morning.  Once the girls were in bed, we (meaning Brian) set to work on building a castle.  It had many, many pieces, but he put it together pretty quickly.  I think we ended up going to bed a little before midnight, which was right on time for me :)
